The navigation tree goes 2 levels deep - and rejects a category on the third level or implements it incorrectly either in the parent category or the first subcategory. This can be quite annoying especially when you got like jewelry with lots of materials and types.
I found a work around how to insert the third level navigation --> Create the new category --> and then "move" it to the third level - this works in fact without a flaw.
